The Boys' Brigade
This is a group for boys aged 5 -
18. The evenings consist of badge work and games. There are different groups within the Boys' Brigade:
Anchor Boys [Age 5-year 3] 6.00p.m - 7.00p.m
Junior Section [Year 4-year 6] 6.45p.m - 8.00p.m
Company Section/Seniors [Year 7-age 18] 6.45p.m-8.15p.m
These groups meet on a Monday and
learn many different things from tying knots to playing table tennis. They play games such as hockey, cricket, pool, table
tennis and football. A uniform is worn which consists of a royal blue polo shirt, red, royal blue or navy blue sweatshirt
and grey or black trousers. There is a small subscription which goes towards buying new equipment/uniforms and towards
going on outings. The Boys' Brigade also helps projects like Street Children in Kenya, the AMICUS Project, and many others. Any
new boys are welcome to join us for an evening of good fun.
Unfortunately Boys' Brigade have closed down due to numbers. If you would be interested
in joining please let us know.
T.O.F.S.S (Too Old For Sunday School)
This is a group that people aged 11 - 18 go to. They meet on a Sunday
morning to learn and discuss more about the Bible.
They also sometimes have sleepovers and outings. Their latest outing
was to London for a weekend. They went on a boat trip down the Thames, to the Tower of London and to Hamleys.
To do things like this come Sunday mornings @ 10.30a.m. See you there.
Deepings' Wives Group
They meet on the 2nd Friday in the month, from
September - June at the Church. They have a varied and interesting programme and they visit various locations.
Girls Brigade
Girls Brigade meet every Wednesday evening. Company evenings are spent working
on badges and playing games. Past badgework has included Bible study, Bible drama, line dancing, craft, cookery, party dancing
and drill. Meeting times are stated below:
Explorers age 5-7 6-7pm
Juniors age 7-11 6:45-8:30pm
Seniors age 11-14 6:45-8:30pm
Brigaders age 14+ 6:45-8:30pm
Uniform
Explorers - navy tunic, sweatshirt, red polo shirt, hat.
Everyone else - navy skirt, sweatshirt, hat, shirt &
tie. Juniors wear a red tie, Seniors a blue tie and Brigaders a blue & red striped tie.
A.C.T.S
The Drama Group which is open to everyone. Rehearsals start in October for their fifth musical
'Nicodemus' to be performed after Easter.
Tots At Ten
Coffee and chat for mothers and carers with young children.
Lunch Box
Weekly lunch provided for elderly people in the community living
on their own.
Thursday Fellowship
Alternate Thursdays at 2.15p.m. Speakers on a variety of topics.
House Groups
Fortnightly Bible studies and discussions from the Christian view point.
